Bishopbriggs (St James the Less)

A symbol of hope

Hope was signified by a cross lit with 16 candles, which signify the 16 days of action for the Elimination of Violence against women, which includes World Aids Day.

An ecumenical service was held at the church and a staff member for the local Women's Refuge read  a story written by a 15 year old boy whose mother and sisters were survivors of abuse.

 

 

             

Largs St Columba's

Held a marriage celebration and renewal of vows during National Marriage week, followed by an exhibition of wedding dresses in the hall.

bulletGive outreach to young mums and under fives in church. Held a 'teddies bear' picnic in May and very successful crib service. Recently held a 'star' party when the story of the three wise men was explored.

Cumbernauld (Holy Name) 

6th February all the branch renewed their vows during

the main morning service. They hope to make this an annual event.

 

 

Helensburgh (St Michael and All Angels)

 

Meets twice a month an evening and morning meeting. The major on going project is providing toilet bags for the emergency and long stay wards at the hospital.

 

             

Largs (St.Columba's)

Largs Information Pack continues to sell well

           at the Tourist Information and Library. This was

          compiled by Mothers' Union members.

          It has recently been updated

 

 

             

Castle Douglas (St Ninian's)

Fundraising and clothing collection for 'Abba's Rest' orphanage and school in Malawi, by local Mothers' Union member Jennie Spence.

 

Ayr (Holy Trinity)

 

Meet twice a month in the evening for talks, study and fellowship. They donate emergency toilet bags to the hospital, serve coffee after a Wednesday service and support the local art project for the town’s young teenagers.
